HOW READY ARE YOU?
Fill my cup Lord is a cry for help for everyone that desires more of God as we approach the imminent return of the Lord. The next event in God’s plan for ages is rapture. Christ’s second coming is imminent. How ready are we?
34That night two people will be asleep in one bed; one will be taken, the other left. 35Two women will be grinding flour together at the mill; one will be taken, the other left (Luke 17:34-35)
While preparing to go back to heaven, our Lord Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear that He will come back and take us to be with Himself forever. Knowing fully well that we will be limited in our ability to prepare for his coming, He gave the promise of the Holy Spirit, our divine Enabler, who will get us ready. We, as a cup, must be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost if we are to be fully prepared for His coming. If you are not filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, then your cup is not full. Flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God. The power of Holy Spirit keeps us awake in readiness for the rapture.
1Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. 2For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 6So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded (1Thess 5:1,2,6)
In our time, brethren crave worldly desires instead of Holy Spirit. This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. Whatever we crave and consequently fill us up will determine our level of preparedness for the Lord’s return.
We will expand on this during the sermon. Have a blessed Sunday
